Anthropologie Flowers Tutorial

February 8, 2010 by Jessica 15 Comments

I received an email from Anthropologie with this awesome tutorial on how to make the flowers many of their store windows are using as decorations right now. (The pictures will not show up all together on some computers, but should be fine on most).

Anthropologie Flowers

How amazing are they???? I so want to make some! I think it would look great on a fence outside, on my bedroom wall, oh the possibilities are endless! They have a flickr group too if you want to check out some of the store windows made with these. Now, I need to start enlisting people to save their plastic bottles for me because we don’t really buy too many.

Also, SYTYC has started again and is in their second week! Go cast your vote today! There are some super crafty ladies with some awesome things to vote for.

Wow, these are gorgeous! So inspiring that something so beautiful is made out of what most people would just toss in the trash or recycle bin.

Jessica! I just got the package in the mail, yay!! I LOVE them! I have to admit, when I saw the post about the pincushions, and you’d said that two of them had a home, my greedy little mind was secretly hoping that one of them was coming to my home! :o) Thank you so, so much! I can’t wait to use them!

“what kind of paint was used? spray paint? acrylic?”

Most people who have done them use spray paint. The acrylic paint might help it have that more see through look though. I suggest trying each out and seeing what you like best or search the internet about painting on plastic and see what comes up.
