Catch Me if You Can

November 4, 2009 by Jessica 12 Comments

Oh man, my daughter just won’t sit still for hardly anything these days! Here are some pictures of her in some new dresses I made using a Lil Blue Boo pattern by Ashley. It’s the Sienna dress.
I have to say I love this pattern! It’s super quick to make too with so many possibilities! I highly recommend you get this pattern if you sew for a little girl in your life. It’s so well written and professional. Ashley rocks!

****See bottom of post for a neat sleeve shortening trick*****

Shirring the sleeves up the side

*A little trick for long sleeves: I wanted to use the sleeves right off of a size 5t , but they were too long. I didn’t want to cut them off and have to hem them, so I just shirred up the sleeves (one up one side and another across on the other. It looks cool and makes the too long sleeve shorter.*

All of these dresses are so adorable! Maybe someday I will have a little girl to sew for. But first I need to get a machine and learn how to sew!

That is a great sleeve trick! I’m totally using that with my daughter’s shirts from now on. She’s always sucking on them and it drives me nuts! Thanks.

Easter and Spring Break are now behind us, but it Easter and Spring Break are now behind us, but it was such a good time! For this past Easter I really wanted to make egg aprons for miss E and my other young nieces and nephew that are here. I looked at a bunch of pictures and just kind of figured it out myself, but I made four aprons that can hold up to 10 eggs. Thankfully I had enough fabric already to make them 🙌 It won’t be too long until my youngest will be too old for some of this, so I am trying to squeeze it all in before that happens 💛
