Along with the giveaway c/o OshKosh B’gosh, we also had a back to school party with a bunch of stuff they sent us. The girls and I were so excited about this. Especially miss J. She got to have a bunch of her friends all in one place at once! But before we get into the party details I wanted to say congratulations to Carolsue who won the giveaway!!! Yay!!! Enjoy :)

OshKosh B’gosh sent me a big ole box full of party goodies to get the planning started. There were canvas lunch bags, canvas totes, crayons, fabric markers, coloring pages, rulers, chalkboard, chalk, and even some giftcards to share with MY friends. I wanted the party to have a school theme (of course), so I got some black posterboard to write on with chalk for a chalkboard look. I made some paper airplanes to hang above the food table too. I prepared the inside for the food part and the outside for the crafting area.

Thankfully, we have a few folding tables that we were able to add outside for all the kids. They each had a spot with their tote and lunch bag to color on. Mason jars with greenery from the yard and flowers from the store lined the middle of the tables. Vintage linens were hung up around the edges to help keep the hot Louisiana sun out. It was still crazy hot though. So if you see a kid not looking too thrilled in a pic, it’s not that they weren’t having fun. The heat was, well, hot. They all loved their projects and their mommas have told me they are still using them :)

Miss J wore her “Art Class is My Favorite” shirt c/o OshKosh for the party. We love their tees for sure. So original and one of a kind. The graphic tees are made with 100% cotton and are really great for layering and transitioning from warm to cold weather. And the layered look is super cute I think ;)
You can dress little ones for success in OshKosh original tees for only $7 and $8 online and in-stores (find a location here). Each original tee design is hand-drawn and created by OshKosh designers. They come in a variety of colors and fun styles.

After they were done crafting, we went inside to eat yummy food and let them play. The table in the pics just had the non refrigerated food on it, but it was attacked by hungry youngens when everything was set out and I knew I wouldn’t be able to get a picture of it then :)

The Birthday Boy

This past weekend was super busy for us. It doesn’t happen too often that it’s this packed. We had two parties to attend and then we celebrated Will’s birthday. He’s getting so old ;)

Miss J helped me decorate and wrap presents. She LOVES doing stuff like this.

But, I think her favorite part was eating cake. She wouldn’t even put down her fork so I could snap a picture of her not shoving it in her mouth. Ha!

Miss E loved her cake too.

It was finger lickin’ good!

The girls loved on their dad, though this picture doesn’t particularly show that ;) I think they just wanted more cake instead of sitting on dad’s lap for a picture.

But we tried pics with them separately and it went a lot better. I love seeing them give nose kisses. “Ugga mugga!” (if you watch pbs kid shows you know what I’m talking about).

I’m hoping to finish up his gift I sewed him and share it this week. I had grand plans for finishing it before his birthday, but it’s funny how those plans kept getting interrupted. At least the interrupters are really cute (ie my girls). This week will be full of sewing though. And, I haven’t officially announced it, but I am participating in Project Run and Play All Stars which begins at the end of March! If you follow me and the other participants on instagram (or twitter), check out the tag #prapallstars for previews of what we are all making. I am looking forward to it as it’s more of a “fun” competition. No one goes home! You get to see everyone’s creations for four weeks straight. I’m excited to get my designs made and see what everyone else does.

Summer Break..is what I’m having….

I had mentioned a few times that I would be taking some breaks this summer and I’m on one now :) Just wanted to let you all know. I’ll be back in the middle of the month with a few things and then off again until mid August. In the meantime, I’m spending time with my family, unplugging from the social media (but I’m still available email if you need something), traveling, and working on all kind of things to share when things start going again. I’m also going to figure out some logistics of this blogging stuff. Enjoy your summer and I’ll be enjoying mine and seeing you guys in a bit :)

Just a reminder….

Don’t forget to get in your entries for the giveaways for this month! Only a few more days until they close. Also, if you are interested in advertising on Happy Together, February is open except for the large size. See here for more details.

Well Look Who’s Arrived :)

Guess what???? Baby is here :) We will be home soon and then I’ll be taking a little blog break while we adjust to our new family life. Everything went great and this little girl is just perfect. I just can’t stop looking at her! The princess is loving having a little sister and daddy is loving having another daughter. I’ll be back with the whole story and everything soon! Talk with you all later :)

Oh yeah….

So two things real quick.

1. Happy Together went .com!!!! That’s right :) I made the switch last week and am very happy about it. The new site is www.happytogethercreates.com. The other names I tried were already taken, lol. Figures. So, this should be a lot easier to remember. The blogspot page automatically takes you to this now, so it should still be showing up and all, but you can change it if you like :)

2. I found out that Silhouette just came out with a new product, the Silhouette CAMEO (a 12″ cutting tool). This means that they are discontinuing the Silhouette SD and are selling the ones that are left for $175 while supplies last. SO, that’s a good deal ladies!!!!!

To get this offer, you can use this code:   TOGETHER until this Sunday, July 31, 2011.

PS: All the things that go with it are still going to be offered for those of us who have the SD, but the actual machine will no longer be produced.

You can also use that code to get 20% all of their products, including the new Starter Kits (excludes the download cards and machines). Now’s a good time to stock up on stuff.

Remember these pictures of my daughter?

My so super talented sis painted one! She’s going to enter it in an upcoming show. Just had to show this first.

Now, onto the winners…….

First winner is Dawn who said, “how cute! i would love to win a pattern!”

Second winner is Steph who said,”These are so adorable! What a fun giveaway!”

I will be in contact with you this weekend. Thanks to everyone who entered and for you sweet comments and encouragement. Have a fab weekend!

I have a few things to share with you all, so here goes:

1. So You Think You’re Crafty

Starting at the beginning of November, it’s on in the crafting world. Myself and nine other amazing women (most of whom you have probably already heard of), are participating in a new contest called “So You Think You’re Crafty.” Each crafter will anonymously create a craft for a specific theme and then it will be up to the public to vote for the most creative each week. The winner of each week will provide a tutorial for that project. I’m excited and super nervous because there’s some amazing talent involved! So, go ahead and follow along on the So You Think You’re Crafty Blog so you don’t miss a thing!

2. VivaLaModa

VivaLaModa magazine

This is “a totally handmade online magazine focused on handmade and vintage fashion (as well as makeup, beauty, art, designer interviews, recipes, product reviews, decorations, and kids). It is made by indie amateur collaborators, trying to show people how handmade and vintage clothes and items are cool, elegant, and innovative as high end fashion.”
I first heard about it from LuvintheMommyhood. They have a new issue out now and it’s awesome! Check it out and be inspired!

3. Lu
Shae Jewelry Sweepstakes

Enter their online competition for the chance to win $200 cash (to spend anywhere you like). Simply display one of their jewelry badges on your blog, website or social profile page and be automatically entered each and every month. The sweepstake giveaway is open to all countries. Every entrant will also receive a 15% discount off the entire LuShae Jewelry range!

4. Tupperware
My friend Karla is venturing into the Tupperware business, so I would like to show her some love and give you the info in case any of you are interested.
To order online, you can go to “Shop Our Product Gallery” where you can look and order whatever they would like. It will get mailed straight to your door. It’s as easy as 1..2..3. And to make things more easy. It’s very simple to get started in Hosting your very own Online Party. After going to Karla’s site, you would have to go to Party “Inspiration Center” and click on “About Online Parties” and it will walk you through just a few steps. It will take 5 minutes. Very Simple. Also, if you would like more information on wanting to sell and being their own boss, then email Karla at aeschlimanfamily@hotmail.com and let her know. Imagine … Life on your terms!
