Durathon Iron Giveaway!!!!!

It’s been a while since we have done a giveaway, so let’s do on for a Durathon Electric Iron with Retractable Cord by Hamilton Beach. Ok? :)

Durathon Iron Giveaway on Happy Together

I don’t know about you, but I have found an iron to be a huge part of my creating process. The iron we had was one we picked out when we first got married (over seven years ago!). At that point in time, we were buying the cheapest stuff we could to make it fit into our budget. That meant some of the things we bought were not the best. The iron was an iron, but not an awfully good one and I wanted a better one. I received this iron c/o Hamilton Beach and was more than happy to send my old one away. It’s been a lot better with this new one to use during my sewing projects…take that wrinkly fabric! But I really like some features that we didn’t have on our other iron, like the retractable cord and the large opening to pour the water in. I haven’t spilled any water yet ;)

This iron is one of their best-selling irons they have had in their history (and they’re over a 100 years old, so that’s a long time).  What makes it great for crafters, sewers and DIY’ers is its amazing steam performance. It also has a non-stick sole plate that is suppose to be virtually indestructible – so they gave it a ten year warranty! You can read more about the iron here. Now for the giveaway. I was able to set it up on rafflecopter so it’s super easy to enter. It is only for US residents. Enter up to four different times. Winner will be contacted once giveaway is over and iron will be delivered via the Hamilton Beach distribution center.

I would love this! I’m in the same boat as you were–making do with a functional, yet poorly performing iron. Mine isn’t bad enough to justify spending money to replace it, but I would love to win a new fancy one! Thanks for the giveaway

Oh my gosh — I cracked up at your description of your old iron, because it’s the same as my old iron except we have been married 10 years now! I desperately need a new one, and this one sounds fabulous!!!

That looks like a great iron. I would definitely love to have this if for nothing else than the retractable cord. And the two way steam is awesome. I had an iron like that before and really loved that feature.

Thanks, this iron looks awesome. I have an oldie, not particularly goldie iron. No steam. emerald99(at)comcast(dot)net

Thanks for offering such a great iron! I’ve long stopped using the steam on mine because it spews and sputters murky water on my fabric. emerald99 at comcast dot net

my iron actually fell apart while I was using it. The metal plate separated from the plastic top part while I was picking it up off of its heel and the metal part fell on my other hand and burnt me.

My iron is horrible. We were recently on vacation and the iron in the hotel seemed like a dream iron. I would love a new iron!

Awesome giveaway and I’m glad you found an iron you love! Mine is terrible – a cast off from someone else and I need a new one badly! Thanks for the chance.

I bought the cheap-o iron as well a few years back before I learned to sew. My dog stands below me when I fill it to lick up all the water I spill :/ This iron looks fantastic, but might disappoint my dog a little haha!

I have to buy a new iron about every 4 to 6 mo, I am gonna have to stock up, I have RA and a heavy iron cant be the answer.. I just need it to press hot.. I am a quilter so steam isnt important.. Press Me….xo

I would love a new iron! My current iron has a tendency to spit water instead of steam sometimes which isn’t very helpful. I love the retractable cord feature on this iron. It would make storing it a breeze!

I would love to win a new iron. I hate ironing right now because the one I have is old and busted.. And yes, it leaks water sometimes too.

I would love to win an iron! I’m using an old one that doesn’t get as hot as I’d like it to. Thanks for the great giveaway, and for your fun blog!
