Family Outfits Prep

March 26, 2012 by Jessica 4 Comments

I have made it a goal to make our whole family outfits for Easter. I probably won’t get them done quite in time, but I’m still going to go for it.

I received a neat little box c/o Kaufmann Mercantile last week that is going to help me create. It’s called the Merchant & Mills Sewing Notions Set.

It’s full of many sewing essentials like a seam ripper, scissors, tape measure, dress making pins, and much more. I love the vintage feel that it has and how sturdy the box is. They made it to last a long time and serve as a storage box for the items it comes with and more. It came at a perfect time because I was in need of a few of these items!

I have picked out the fabrics for my daughter’s dresses as of now. It’s a mix of newer fabric with vintage fabric. I can’t wait to get started and to use my new stuff. It’s so refreshing to have new supplies!   -Jess

I love the fabrics you’ve chosen, can’t wait to see the finished dresses! I’m going to try and make Easter outfits for my family as well. Semi-matching dresses for my daughter and I, and some ties for my husband and son. I bought some cute fabric on sale that I’ve been looking for an excuse to use.

What a fab sewing notions set! It does have a fabulous “built to last” vintage feel to it from what I can see. You have chosen some incredible fabrics – all the best with sewing them in time! πŸ™‚ If anyone can do it – you can! I look forward to seeing how they turn out.
