I have been a little more busy with photo sessions recently and it’s been so much fun! I did these of my friend and her family and was so excited when she agreed to let me do that at a local state park. I had always wanted to do a session here. We had a lot of fun planning it and all the spots we would use. The park was gorgeous and so was the sunshine! Apparently it’s the place to be too. I bet there were at least 7 other photographers there taking pictures of families. It figures since it’s so beautiful and there aren’t many beautiful places that are public around here. We had to wait our turn at a few of these spots lol.
I tried to get a good mix of portrait pics and lifestyle ones. It was fun capturing the boys in their element!
Tomorrow is a big day of photography for me as well. I’m doing mini sessions! All proceeds will be going to the missions program at my church and I’m excited to see how it goes. I always enjoy trying things out to see if they are for me or not. Anyone else doing family pictures soon?

My family (husband, myself and our two children) just returned from a mission trip to Peru. We were very blessed by the church family that supported us! So I am blessed to see you supporting the mission program at your church! Thank you! Check out trip picture … http://www.colwellcrew.blogspot.com
I feel blessed to have known many missionaries and know how hard they work and all the amazing things God uses them for. We have a heart to help missionaries and I was more than happy to use my talent to help in a small way. How neat your whole family was able to go on a mission trip!
They are gorgeous Jess! Well done. That looks like a way cool tree for climbing!

Thank you so much! I really credit God’s creations here (nature and the people…lol). It was such a beautiful place. And I was glad I could capture the boys in their elements
Love love these pictures! You are getting more talented all the time! How did you like the mini sessions? I’ve always thought that sounded exhausting, but I’m glad you’re able to generously donate it to a good cause.
Thank you so much Abbie
You know, they were good. It turned out that I had about one every hour. I seriously don’t think I could do the whole “you get 20 minutes” thing. But, I also had a few setups and it took longer to move people around for some of them. I was tired the next day, but once or twice a year would be worth it and it’s a great value for those who might not be able to pay for a big regular session.
