Hats Off to Her

February 18, 2010 by Jessica 8 Comments

This is my little on modeling a hat I just finished up for a belated birthday present.

Hats Off to Her

It’s for an older girl, so it’s a bit big on my daughter, but you get the idea. I used this pattern but did a few things different. I just kind of made up my own flower. After you know how they are generally crocheted, they are easy just to kind of make them on the fly.

I say hats off to her for how amazing my little girl has been while my hubby has been away. I’m just so proud of her! I didn’t know what to expect, but she has really blessed me.

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” Psalm 127:3

Oh, now that is just too cute.

My hubs was deployed (AF) when my daughter was 13-17 months old. At times I thought I would run away. But really, she was amazing and our bond was crazy strong, and forever will be. That’s when we really became buddies.

Your daughter is such a cutie. I have 3 daughters and they are grown with their own daughters now and we are all best friends. The bond you develop during the hard times runs deep. I can visualize you and her 20 years from now shopping and spending the day together. You are so blessed as you said and I am happy for you. Best Wishes.
