Our Week Insta-Style

The end of a long and busy week has finally brought the weekend. There will still be things to do, but I made sure I did all the Saturday chores today so we can just have some fun this weekend. This past week brought a little glimmer of fall here. It was just a tease, but enough to get me in the fall baking/cooking mood. I started off with some sweet potato fries with cinnamon on them (broiling them is what makes them crispy….yum).

This little one continues to bless my socks off with how well she entertains her self for her age. She loves to look at books and play with her toys.

One of my plants was out growing it’s pot, so Target to the rescue! They have most of their pots on clearance right now.

New recipe of the week was these pumpkin spice donuts. I personally felt it was too sweet with all the sugar, but everyone else who had them liked them. I left some plain for miss E too and she enjoyed those. We made ours in our donut maker.

I had my fill of sweet tea too this week too. Long days call for it you know.

Took a classic instagram pic of baby after her bath. She really likes her bath times too.

And a new adventure began for us as parents. We have entered the world of extra curricular activities. Our daughter has asked to do a few things, but soccer was going on right now so we are letting her try it out. It’s through Upwards and I really like how age appropriate the times/games/practices and all are.

My hubby is even helping out by being a coach this year. She’s already made some new friends and is learning about playing as a team. It’s so cute watching them all out there :)
Enjoy your weekend and tomorrow I’ll be back with Giveaway Day!

Our Week (insta-style)

Did you know today was donut day? I found out via text from my hubby this morning and decided to buy us a donut maker. Tomorrow, me and miss J will try it out. She loves to cook with me :)
This past week we had our first family water balloon fight. I got a bag of 100 for only one dollar at Walmart. It was a lot of fun.
We are very excited that the house we are renting has four fruit trees and a pecan tree on the property. We spotted this tree growing some pears this week! I’m hoping they make it and we get to eat some.
The new recipe of the week was a really simple chicken pot pie (recipe here). I’m all about easy, quick, and yummy! This will be in our rotation.
I do believe my hubby read my last post on flowers and surprised me with a lovely bunch after those had wilted. It made my day and makes my kitchen table so pretty!
On a quick thrifting trip, I scored these awesome patterns. They all belonged to the same lady (her name was on them) and had made there way to the thrift store. So many of these look like clothes that are popular right now. I can’t wait to make some things with them. I have a dress cut out right now from a Cynthia Rowley pattern that I’m hoping to get done this week first though.
Then there is this little princess. I vacuum at least once a day now. Everything goes in the mouth. She’s a sweetie though and has the happiest smile. She’s starting to engage more with big sis which is also just melting my heart.
Have a happy weekend and I’ll be back on Monday with a fun giveaway :)
