We are currently at home watching Hurricane Harvey come through. Thankfully we are safe, but we are a little anxious watching all of our friends and others who are being affected by it. We are continuing to pray for all who are down here that need help and for all those who are helping. Since we are stuck inside for a while, I decided to catch up on some things. I’m currently in the middle of planning a diy workshop (!!!!! will share more on that next week for anyone who might want to attend it here in southwest Louisiana) and working on getting some things blogged that have been sitting on my camera for months, like these publications. Back in November, Happy Together was one of the blogs featured in the Artful Blogging magazine. It was volume 10, issue 4 which was out through January. My favorite part was showing my girls that they were in a magazine! I loved the pictures they chose to use and I wrote an article about one of my favorite parts of blogging, community. If you didn’t get a chance to get one when it was out, you can still order it here.
I also had three projects published in the book Mom Crafts, which came out in the spring. It’s full of diy crafts for the expectant mom. I was able to create three that focused on the momma: a lavender eye pillow for those tired eyes, a modern nursing bag to carry around that baby stuff in style, and an infinity nursing scarf that doubles as a nursing cape and a fashion accessory. If you happen to grab the book and make any of these projects, please share! I would love to see what you create. -jess
