First, let me say how amazed I am at the awesome comments for the giveaway so far. It makes me want to do more giveaway’s for you wonderful readers ๐ If you haven’t entered yet, there’s still a few days left. Check it out here.
Second, I have been doing sooooooooo much crafting and have tons and tons of stuff to share before I take a Christmas break. I start with these.
I made two more journals for my nephew and brother-in-law. Both like to write, so I know it will be a hit.
I did some embroidery on this one and love it so much! I love adding different textures and all to things. It gives it an extra punch.
And let me just say how I am getting all the things done that I am. We tell my daughter that I am helping Santa by making presents for him to give. She truly believes it and leaves me alone! (she’s a big momma’s girl, so she always likes to be right by my side seeing what I’m doing…but not when I’m making presents :). She just says, “Mommy’s making presents for cousins.” What a mess she is.
So cute!! I know they will be loved : )
How cute! and I love your header.
what a cute little girl to let mama help make presents! Those journals are beautiful!
Great journals! Such an easy project with such great impact.
I love how textural the covers are. There are still somethings that are very textural for me. Reading a physical book. Touching fabric… I am sure they will love them!
Those are really adorable! I love that your little one is “letting” you make your gifts ๐ what a big helper by giving you some time!
Love the scrappy look! Did you use a tutorial, or just create it as you went? Would love to know if you have any good tuts to recommend to make a journal cover!
“Did you use a tutorial, or just create it as you went?”
I have a tutorial here (http://ohsohappytogether.blogspot.com/2009/10/hot-scrappy-mess-journal-and-tote.html).
But the fabric placement is just on the fly ๐
Fantastic notebooks – they look really great
