A Fox Family

November 1, 2012 by Jessica 5 Comments

Fox Costumes

Last night we played dress up as a whole family! My daughter wanted to be some sort of animal, so I was thinking something like Fantastic Mr. Fox family if they had two girls. Well, October 31 got here really fast and I barely finished the masks (using this template here) and the tails. So we were a modern fox family I guess you could say.

I took miss J around the block for candy, but hardly anyone had a light on which worked out for us. It’s not like she needs a ton of candy! We usually do a trunk or treat, but we couldn’t find a place doing it over by us and we were just not good planners this year. We did have friends over for dinner though. That was fun!

So after battling off swarms of mosquitos, my girls called it a night and both fell asleep really fast. Anyone else make costumes this year?

I love how your masks turned out! And a fox with regular clothes is so on-trend, a la The Fantastic Mr. Fox, so it’s perfect for what you were envisioning, I think.

I made our costumes this year, too: http://shealwayslovedlarking.blogspot.com/2012/10/a-corny-family-diy-upcycled-repurposed.html
