After:
Before (well, it’s the same sweater, but a differnt color. I forgot to take a pic of the aqua sweater):
I had seen Thread Bangers on the Rachael Ray Show a while ago and they did a few cool things that I wanted to do. One of them was this, taking an old sweater and refashioning it into a shrug. I have some sweaters that I didn’t really like the fit and decided to do this. I just cut it where I thought I would like it, sewed the edges, and then pulled on the ends to fray it. I love it! You could easily add buttons and button holes or put a pretty pin on it. It seriously took five minutes. Cut, then quick sew. That’s it!!! Thanks Thread Bangers!!!!!! Check out their website for more great ideas.
I was looking for another refashion post, how to turn a long sleeve tshirt into a shrug, I’ve seen it on a couple blogs, and today was just chilly enough to attack an Old Navy shirt that doesn’t fit pregnant me anymore. I couldn’t find the DIY instructions anywhere (could have sworn it was on your page!) so I just hacked away.
I have a pink sweater that needs some refashioning…I was planning on saving it for the back of a baby blanket, but I might just do this. Baby will get enough stuff at the shower, right? ๐
