I got such good sleep last night. Right now I have a little extra time on my hands, so I will share one of the things I worked on last night. It’s an earring/jewelry holder for my younger cousin’s birthday. She’s turning ten and getting her ears pierced, so her mom suggested an earring holder. Sooooooo here it is

I used a small wooden ornament tree and glued it to a wooden base I got at the craft store (I painted it white). I cute out various shaped leaves from wire form, which I also got at the craft store. It’s in the clay section. To cover up the sharp edges, I dipped them in glue and then into glitter. I also covered the tree with Modpodge and added glitter to it and glued on rhinestones. To place the leaves, I ran the little branches through the wire a few times and then put glue on top of the leaf where the branch was to hold them together. I think it turned out well. I might add a little bird to the bottom and I need to go get some earring to put on there; maybe a necklace too.

love this tree! My 11 year old just got her’s pierced, but she is bad about putting them on her little start from Claire’s. I think the leaves on your tree would be easier. Thanks for the tut, I am going to try it!
