Q&A

What sewing machine and serger do you use?
My sewing machine was a handmedown and is a Singer Quantum 9910. My serger was a Christmas gift a few years ago and is a Singer ProFinish. Both are great little machines for what I do.

What camera do you use?
I have a Canon Rebel xs and keep the 50 mm f/1.8 lens on it for the most part. I am saving up to upgrade hopefully soon.

Do you edit your photos?
Yes. I use Photoshop Elements and love it. I do not feel the need to change this at all. It does so much! I also use actions from Paint the Moon and Florabella.

Did you make your blog design?
Nope. I found a great site, Blog Milk, that offers custom templates for blogger blogs. They only sell so many of each one, so it helps keep it unique. They were really great to work with and answered my emails very quickly.

Can I make things from tutorials on your blog and sell them?
Yes!!!!! Please do!!! There is no way I have the time to make much and I would love to support your small handmade business in this way πŸ™‚ You don’t even need to worry about giving me credit or anything. I just ask you share the info if someone wants to make one themselves. You may also sell things made using my patterns.

Can I share your tutorials/pictures?
You may share a main picture from a tutorial with a link back to it, but please, no copying a whole post and putting it on your site. Thanks πŸ™‚

Will you link to my blog?
I did have a link list here before, but I have decided to remove it for a few reasons. If you like, please leave a link to your blog in the comments here for me and others to check out.

Can I offer a giveaway on your blog?
Please see here for more information.

In October, I began blogging about my spiritual walk. Upon arrival at every difficult circumstance, I either choose to feast on the promises of my Lord, or lay in the famine of my failures. http://tofeastorfamine.blogspot.com/

I love to create just about anything when it comes to crafts. I love to sew, refurnish funiture, home decor, and some day learn how to paint. My blog is sort of new and I have been working on it and now trying to learn how to get readers to come and visit my blog. I love this blogging thing and find that there are so many blogs that are so inspiring to me that I want to share that with my readers as well. Thank you for being one of the blogs.

As for me, I’m crazy about sewing and refashioning. I didn’t even know it was in me until I got my first sewing machine a year ago. It’s been a lot of fun!

Hi Lisa πŸ™‚ I think that when I switched from blogger to wordpress it stopped since that was a program through blogger. I’m looking into adding a new sign up option to receive a weekly update of posts. Hopefully will have it up next month sometime. If you use twitter or facebook, I also share links to new posts there.Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

What do you use to hand letters on the wall?

Hi πŸ™‚ If you are referring to painting letters, I use a projector to get the image on the wall. Then I trace with a pencil and paint it. If you are talking about hanging things on walls, I use all kinds of different nails/screws. But for lightweight things I will use command strips for easy placement and removal without wall damage. I hope this helps πŸ™‚
