My Heart is Just Melting

October 28, 2009 by Jessica 36 Comments

The in-laws are gone, so things are getting back to normal. I have had the itch to sew some things for my little one and whipped this up last night.

Refashioned Toddler Dress

I was inspired by this dress at Anthropologie. I absolutely adore how it came out! I made it from two different shirts I had.

I love how the little ruffles bounce when she walks. She just melts my heart. What can I say? I love my daughter and think she is just a cutie.

Refashioned Toddler Dress

The only problem I had was I made it too tight at first. I added a triangular panel to the front to help out. Before I did that, she looked like she was going clubbing or something. Not something anyone, let alone a two year old should be wearing πŸ™‚ lol.

Ahh! So cute. Ha ha about it looking like she was going to go clubbing… that sounds like something I would do in a first draft sewing project for my kids. πŸ™‚

You know what, I think I’ll add it to my list πŸ™‚

“Could you do some pretty winter gear for the lil’ ones, or for us big girls?”

As soon as it starts cooling down here a bit I think I’ll be inspired too πŸ™‚ It’s just still in the 80’s for us, so it’s hard to even think of long sleeves and pants at this time!

Easter and Spring Break are now behind us, but it Easter and Spring Break are now behind us, but it was such a good time! For this past Easter I really wanted to make egg aprons for miss E and my other young nieces and nephew that are here. I looked at a bunch of pictures and just kind of figured it out myself, but I made four aprons that can hold up to 10 eggs. Thankfully I had enough fabric already to make them πŸ™Œ It won’t be too long until my youngest will be too old for some of this, so I am trying to squeeze it all in before that happens πŸ’›
