Paint, Seashells, and a Starfish

July 10, 2009 by Jessica 3 Comments

I made this skirt for my little one with the idea to stamp on it. I recently read a Martha Stewart magazine that had a few pages of different things they did and I wanted to do it too.

We had fun with sidewalk chalk the day before

I used two different sea shells and one little bitty starfish. I covered them with paint, then put it on the fabric and gently pressed (I had to kind of roll the shells though).

She sells seashells by the seashores

I like how it turned out. My daughter likes it too. She loves shells and starfish!

PS: I finished the headboard finally, so now I’m ready to make the curtains and a new bedspread.

Very cute! I really like the shape of the skirt, all hangy and twirly. She looks like a sweetie!
