Up, Up, and Away!!!!!!!!!

March 14, 2009 by Jessica 1 Comment

This is a simple little cape and mask I made for my cousin’s little boy, Super Dylan. I had made some for my nephews before, but this so far is my favorite. Two more little boys in my family are having upcoming birthdays and will be receiving a similar cape and mask as well. I remember when I worked with little kids how much they loved to dress up, so I’m sure they will have fun with this. It’s fun to make “boy” stuff every once in a while since I only have a girl so far.

To make it, I free styled it completely. I simple folded a yard of fabric and half and cut it similar to how you might cut out a tree skirt.

Oh VERY cute.. I remember making Capes for my son AND the little girls.. we just made them PINK .. and put their initial on them… I think the girls loved them better than the boys…
Maybe it’s prepping them for the future when moms wear super hero capes .. ** wink wink**

Easter and Spring Break are now behind us, but it Easter and Spring Break are now behind us, but it was such a good time! For this past Easter I really wanted to make egg aprons for miss E and my other young nieces and nephew that are here. I looked at a bunch of pictures and just kind of figured it out myself, but I made four aprons that can hold up to 10 eggs. Thankfully I had enough fabric already to make them 🙌 It won’t be too long until my youngest will be too old for some of this, so I am trying to squeeze it all in before that happens 💛
